INTRODUCTION TO ENGINEERING

ABOUT THE CLASS:

This course is taught by Dominica Watson, a math teacher at Polytechnic School in Pasadena, California with a degree in chemical engineering. It is designed to give seniors a semester long look at the world of engineering. This particular part of the class is devoted to electrical engineering with an emphasis on electromechanics. It was created for the class by Craig Fletcher, a physics teacher Polytechnic School with an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and a masters degree in physics.

CLASS pdfs:

At this point, there are several pdf available for your amusement. They are:

electromechanics.pdf (this is the first PowerPoint presented to the class--it includes the differential equations for both the spring and RLC system)

tasks.pdf (this identifies the various bits of information you will need from your spring system, and a few thoughts about your RLC circiut)

opamps.pdf (this is the first PowerPoint in which amplification and operational amplifiers are discussed)

LTSpiceAssignment.pdf (this is the download information for the circuit drawing program we'll use in class)

LTSpiceTutorial.pdf (this is the download information for the circuit drawing program we'll use in class)
